New VP article.

Is Stelly's Going To Accept a New Vice Principal?

Most students don’t know how to act with a new face of authority, and when Mr. Pereira walked into Stelly’s for the first time, it was no different. Most students didn’t at first realize who he was, and kept their distance from this strange man introducing himself to everyone he could. Soon though, it became obvious to everyone who exactly he was.

Transferring to Stelly’s after 21 years at several schools (Up island, as well as Claremont and most recently, Parkland) Mr. Pereira was able to get a good idea from his first few days. The school as well, has been able to get a good idea about him. He seems to be just as approachable, if not more so, than the other administrators, someone the student body could definitely get along with.

So far, the school seems to have taken rather well to Mr. Pereira, as he’s involved himself in activities already (such as the Jell-O Olympics), and we can’t wait to see how he plans on making a difference at the our school.

Tracy,
I like your headline and lead - they are both engaging and help to direct the focus of your article.

You focused more on observations you made outside the interview (what you've noticed in the hallways) - I wish that you had included more information from the interview itself with specific information.

I like how you organized the information - your paragraphs are well constructed.

Tips for future articles:
Be more specific with your details and descriptions.

A good first article. 8/10
